the short version
aayla does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or cross-site trackers, and does not set any cookies of its own. it uses your browser's own storage to remember a few things for you, on your device, so that it can work without an account. nothing listed in this policy is sent to us. this policy forms part of our terms of use and should be read together with our privacy policy.
1. scope and definitions
1.1 who we are. this cookie policy (this "policy") is issued by a bleuue concept llc, an indiana limited liability company (the "company", "we", "us" or "our"), and applies to aayla, a brand of the company, including the website at aaylas.com (the "service").
1.2 technologies covered. "cookies" are small text files a website asks your browser to store and send back with later requests. "local storage" and "session storage" (together, "browser storage") are features of your browser that let a website keep small pieces of information on your device. unlike cookies, browser storage is not automatically sent to the website's servers with each request. local storage persists until it is cleared; session storage persists only for the life of the browser tab in which it was created. this policy uses "storage items" to refer to the individual entries the service keeps in browser storage.
1.3 what the service uses. the service does not set cookies. it uses browser storage only, for the storage items listed in section 2. it does not use web beacons for advertising, tracking pixels, device fingerprinting, or any other technique to recognize you across browsers, devices, windows or websites.
2. storage items the service uses
the following storage items are kept in your browser on your device. they are read only by the service's own code running in your browser, are never transmitted to the company, and are not associated with your identity.

if your browser blocks storage, for example in some private windows or in-app browsers, the service continues to work, but saves are kept only until you leave the page, and preferences are not remembered.
3. legal basis and consent
3.1 strictly necessary and user-requested. each storage item listed in section 2 is used solely to provide a feature of the service that you use, or to remember a choice you made, on your own device. the company considers each of them necessary to provide the features you request, and does not use any of them for analytics, advertising or tracking. under the laws of many jurisdictions, including the eu and uk rules implementing the eprivacy directive, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user does not require prior consent. the service displays a notice so that you know these items exist.
3.2 your choice. if you are in a jurisdiction where consent is required for any of these items, you may withhold or withdraw it at any time by blocking or clearing browser storage for aaylas.com, as described in section 6. doing so does not prevent you from using the service, although the features that depend on the affected items will not function.
3.3 future changes. if the company ever proposes to use any cookie or storage item that is not strictly necessary, such as for analytics, it will first update this policy and request your consent where required by law, and you will be able to refuse.
4. third-party content
4.1 threads embeds. where a profile includes an embedded threads post, meta's embed script loads automatically when you scroll near the post. that script, and the embedded content, may set or read cookies and collect information under meta's own policies, which the company does not control.
4.2 links and payments. links to threads, instagram, tiktok, cash app, the websites of listed people and other third-party platforms take you to services that have their own cookie and privacy practices. the company is not responsible for them, and encourages you to review their policies.
5. private windows and multiple devices
because the service has no accounts, everything listed in section 2 belongs to the browser in which it was created. it does not follow you to another browser or device, and the company cannot transfer or restore it. in a private or incognito window, your browser deletes it when the window closes. the company does not use fingerprinting or any other technique to recognize you across windows, browsers or devices.
6. your controls
you can view and delete what the service has stored at any time through your browser's settings, usually under site data, website data or storage for aaylas.com, or through your browser's developer tools. session storage items are deleted automatically when you close the tab. you can also configure your browser to block storage for aaylas.com or for all websites, or to block third-party content and cookies, in which case the service will continue to work without the features described above. you can remove saved people individually from the saved page, change the city for people near you on the home page, and turn aayla's voice on or off in get found.
7. changes and contact
